Recently, some users have reported to the editor that after running for a period of time, they may find that the gearbox has a heating phenomenon, and the general heating level of the equipment is very serious. Touching the equipment with hands may even cause it to be scalded on its surface. If this problem is not solved in a timely manner, as the degree of heat generation becomes more severe, the damage to the device will also increase, and even accidents such as explosions may threaten our personal safety. In order to help everyone solve the problem of gearbox heating, the editor has specially compiled some information about the causes of its heating. Today, we will study it together.
1、 During use, when the gearbox is frequently in start-up and forward/reverse rotation, its motor will heat up severely. This is because its starting current is 5 to 7 times the normal operating current, and frequent forward and reverse transfers keep it under 5 to 7 times the starting current for a long time, resulting in severe heating of the equipment.
2、 If there is overload or overloading during the use of the reducer, it will generate heat during operation for a long time. This is actually strictly defined. For example, if the approved tonnage of the equipment is not followed during use, it will not only shorten the service life of the equipment but also cause equipment failure.
3、 The abnormal operation of the cooling fan can also cause the gearbox to generate heat during use. As we all know, a large amount of heat dissipation during equipment use relies on the motor's own cooling fan. However, if there is too much dust or if maintenance is forgotten during use, it will to a considerable extent cause the cooling fan to not work properly, which means that the gearbox itself cannot perform its own cooling function.
No matter what equipment is used smoothly, different types of faults and problems of various sizes will occur, and reducers are no exception. Therefore, once signs of problems are found in the equipment, we should strictly follow the steps to stop and inspect it, so as to reduce some of our cost expenditures and ensure the normal operation of our work.
