Explosion proof electric drum is considered a novel mechanical equipment in electric drum, and we must standardize its use. How effective is its application?
(1) The explosion-proof electric drum has a compact structure and is easy to install. The YDB type 40kW explosion-proof electric drum, which integrates explosion-proof motor, reducer, and transmission drum, has not exceeded the original SD-80 in terms of design diameter and length. The installation size of the tape conveyor is equipped with a dedicated bracket, which is easy to install and does not require major modifications to the original equipment. This makes it possible to carry out technological transformation on the traditional drive device of coal mine belt conveyors, which is an ideal intermediate drive device for long-distance multi-point drive belt conveyors.
(2) Explosion proof electric drum with high strength, long lifespan, and low noise. The gears in the explosion-proof electric drum are made of excellent alloy structural steel, with hard tooth surfaces and high strength. The service life of the transmission device is 2-3 times that of the original belt conveyor, and the noise is significantly lower than that of the original reduction mechanism.
(3) Good moisture resistance and sealing effect. The explosion-proof electric drum adopts H-grade insulation, and the motor is immersed in oil, reducing the probability of insulation reduction and motor damage in underground coal mines.
(4) Small space occupation, suitable for the needs of coal mine sites. In order to ensure the installation space of the reducer and motor, it is necessary to expand a dedicated machine head chamber in the transportation roadway for ordinary belt conveyors. The electric drum belt conveyor, on the other hand, does not require a dedicated chamber, making tunnel construction convenient and reducing the amount of tunnel work. Moreover, for soft rock mining areas, it avoids the construction and maintenance work of large section tunnels, which is more practical.
